Coffee arabica L. originated in Ethiopia, initially grown in the wild forests of the south-western high land of the KaƦa and Buno district. It is the most important commercial crop in the national economy, contributing more than 60% of Ethiopia's foreign exchange earnings
Known as highland coffee because of where and how it’s grown, Ethopian coffee (including gourmet, specialty and organic coffee) is very attractive on the world coffee market. It is rich in acidity and body, is aromatic and sweet-flavoured, with a winey ,spicy , floral or mocha taste. It blends well with coffees produced in other countries, offering a potential wide choice of flavour profiles; whether its a coffee of rich acidity and body , one of low acidity with good body or a balanced and flavorful coffee.
